Calcifer

Calcifer was found by a good Samaritan wobbling around in the middle of the street in March 2021. His founder franctically called all the rescues as he was extremely unstable and she was worried about his condition. We picked up the poor little wobbly bun and made him a special needs home. We took Calcifer to many vets as we were unsure of what was causing his condition as balance issues can be caused from ear infections, E. Cuniculi, neurological issues or injury. We now finally believe it is a neurological issues and since we do not know his past history we are unsure if he was injured prior. Calcifer was most likely abandoned for this reason and unable to be adopted out due to his special needs and on going medical care so he is a forever sanctuary resident at the rescue.

As of July 2021 we got Calcifer neutered so he can be bonded to a girlfriend of his choosing so can live out his wobbly days with some company and have another bun to groom him since he sometimes has difficulties.
